Service is great but food is bad. One star because of the bad quality of food, non-authentic Japanese food and exorbitant price tag. The sashimi (toro, salmon, uni and scallop) quality was worst than conveyor belt sushi / unbrand sushi restaurants or sushi sold in the supermarket, train stations. Extremely oily tempura. And non-authentic way of preparation. 4 pieces of A5 wagyu at U$49.. (would not even pay $10 for 4 pieces) Felt cheated on the high star reviews from 800+ people. My guess is that the people that gave high reviews ordered different food items from me or have not tasted above average sushi places before. Trust me, the quality of the fish here is so bad and not even labeled as below average. The only saving grace is their Gyoza. Please do something in the quality of the

This place is truly dog-friendly! We felt very welcome from the start. The staff were all extremely friendly and attentive. Our dogs even got some chicken, which was such a sweet gesture. The ramen was delicious, the restaurant was spotless, and the food came out really fast. Plus, the adorable pup Dale will gladly keep you company while you enjoy your meal — such a charming little companion! I also loved the little corner where they take photos of dogs and hang them up — a fun gallery of furry friends. Highly recommend, both for the food and the warm, pet-friendly atmosphere! 🐾🍜

Shin Hollywood is one of my most favorite restaurants of all time. I live local and have been a customer for several years. Five stars every single time. The place has style, charm, grace - oh, and incredible sushi and ramen. The lovely owner, Tim, grew-up in Japan and is at the top of his game. My 'go to' dish is the Fire Ramen with tofu, mushrooms, spinach, avocado, plus optional extras such as fresh garlic, shredded ginger, cherry tomatoes and broccoli. Not forgetting the luscious green tea and spicy garlic edamame on the side. Don't hesitate, and don't be swayed by the small location. It's absolutely terrific and punches well above its weight. Awesome.
