Shinano Sushi Bar & Japanese Cuisine

I come here frequently for the excellent service and food. Sushi is excellent and skillfully prepared. The spider roll is one of my favorites I’ve had anywhere. The Japanese Curry is delicious and highly recommend for a winter dinner.

They are the best. I have been coming here for over 15 years. Sushi is amazing. Service is wonderful. People are so nice. 10 out of 10 would recommend!!!

Ate lunch here today and I was overjoyed. It's very hard to find an actual authentic Japanese restaurant in Ohio, and a lot of people seem to think a place is "authentic" and then I see Pad Thai (Thailand) or Bibimbop (Korea) or even General Tso Chicken (China) on the menu and my soul dies a little. Well, not so with this place. Japanese family owned and the food was absolutely delicious and took me back to the island of Okinawa! The sushi chef, a nice Ojiisan, even hand grilled the Unagi (Eel) sushi I ordered. So glad I stumbled on this place on my way to a work call I had, while helping in the Cleveland area. Salmon Kasuzuke: if you see that on a menu then you know the restaurant is actually run by Japanese people. This is the best and most authentically Japanese American restaurant in the Cleveland area. You won’t see “Asian fusion” selections here, e.g., pad Thai, which would indicate that they don’t really know Japanese food.

Tried this as a potential east side sushi spot and was very disappointed. At our table of four, two of us ordered hot dishes and two ordered sushi. The hot dishes came out with in 10 minutes. The sushi took nearly an extra 30 minutes. The server said it was due to a large carryout order....but is that really our problem? If I ran this restaurant I would be sure to take care of the customers who are sitting in front of you at that moment, and work hard to catch up on the carryout. In the end the food was "meh" it cost us $190 for four, and the service was awful. So hard pass in the future.
