Shintaro Sushi and Japanese Restaurant

Quality sushi as well as other Japanese foods. The restaurant is very clean, has a parking lot, great restaurant music and old black and white Godzilla movies playing on a big screen. Fair prices for the quality of the food. The miso soup is very flavorful, and has plenty of seaweed and tofu. There is quality fish and ample portions, lots of standard rolls as well as some fun, original ones.

It’s a great option near the Dolby theatre or Hollywood Bowl. It’s located in a small shopping center, we went around opening 5pm so parking wasn’t an issue. The sushi options were fresh and well presented. The service was friendly and attentive.

Ordered the dragon roll and the spider crab roll, plus a spider crab starter Food was delicious and served relatively quickly, which didn’t leave us starving for too long. The staff were very friendly and kind as well and the atmosphere was very chill, and not too noisy in there

10/10 best fresh fish ever! Better than Nobu. This place has fantastic fish quality. It’s going to become my new go-to. The yellowtail sashimi was next level. The albacore sashimi was also great. Highly recommend for anyone who values QUALITY fish and honestly very reasonably priced for this grade of fish.

My husband said the fish was very good and fresh. My noodles lacked flavor. I loved that they had green tea flavored mocha and ice cream. Service was a little slow, as waiter would disappear sometimes and in the end we wanted to ask for the check and he disappeared completely. Prices were regular Japanese food price $$ .
