Shipley Do-Nuts

The owner was our cashier. He was very nice and looked like he loved his job. They make their dough from scratch. His wife was also very nice and running the other register. We got bacon egg and cheese kolaches. They were very good. The donuts are awesome. Not overly sweet. Lots of fruit flavors which I loved.

Service was excellent. Place was very clean. Donuts were great. Better than Krispy Kreme in my opinion. The lost star in food is because of the Kolache. It was way too salty, luke warm, and the eggs tasted like dehydrated eggs.

I was sooo happy to find a place outside of Texas and here in NC who had Kolaches. I bought 3 dozen for our company meeting and let me tell you they did not disappoint. Outside of me and my son no else has eaten a Kolache and they loved them. The Shipley staff were extremely pleasant and my order was ready when I got there. For an order that big it is recommended to call ahead. I call an hour ahead and told them what time I would be there. Thank you Shipley’s the Kolaches were amazing!!!!!

Staff is absolutely amazing! The owner shared their model and Sierra who waited on me was the sweetest. Fast & efficient and best of all… the donuts and kolaches were delicious!!!

This was my first visit here and they said they opened in February. Katie was super nice and helpful. When I said it’s my first visit she explained what a kolache was and mgr offered sample. It was really good. She took the time the explain everything. I bought half dozen and the old fashioned cinnamon roll. It had walnuts and icing and very fresh and tasty. Donuts are made on site throughout the day and they taste so fresh. Hubby loved his donuts as well. They are a Texas based chain I think is what she said. I will definitely be coming back for my next fix on donuts. I love plain cake donuts and it was the best.
