Shipley Do-Nuts

First visit here, I got a chocolate topped with walnuts and an apple filled. I was there at 3.30 pm and the doughnuts were as fresh as you'd expect them to be in the morning. They didn't survive the ride home but I did take a picture if the shelves. There was plenty of frosting/nuts and apple filling in every bite. I'll definitely go back!

I have mixed feelings regarding the Glen Burnie, MD location. Simone (brown skin with dreads or bra strap length 2 hand twist, long eyelashes and nails) moves awfully SLOW! I’m not certain if this is her first job or if she was just overwhelmed but she surely could use some help. It took for the lobby to obtain 3 guest (including myself) before 2 gentlemen decided to come up front and assist her. She called for the older dark skin man to come assist her with a coupon transaction for drive through but while he was up there, he took it upon himself to assist the next customer in line. Appreciative for that but, it would’ve been nice if someone would have acknowledged and offered to assist me. Regardless if I’m placing an order or picking up an online order, I should have still been acknowled

This is the second time we have gotten Donuts from here and both times were delicious. They taste better than Dunkin. We also love the kolaches! I pre-ordered a bunch of donuts the night before and everything was ready for me at the time I requested. The customer service was great and they were very helpful. The donuts are reasonably priced. The online ordering system needs some work but everything turned out fine. I also want to say that I truly appreciate the kindness and generosity to my kiddos.

I grew up in Texas. Shipley’s isn’t just a donut shop there- it’s a standard. It’s a Saturday morning ritual. It’s hot glazed donuts that practically melt in your hand. So imagine my excitement when I found out there was a Shipley’s just 8 minutes from me here in Maryland. They open at 5:00 AM. I showed up at 5:50, fully prepared to relive a little taste of home. No glazed donuts. Not sold out. Not “just grabbed the last batch.” They hadn’t even made them yet. I was told plain glazed - the literal backbone of Shipley’s - wouldn’t be ready until 6:30. An hour and a half after opening. I want to be fair: the staff was polite. I’m not angry at employees. But if you’re going to carry the Shipley’s name - a Texas institution - you can’t open your doors without the most basic, signature it

1st time trying this donut shop and will be the last. Young lady laughed when I declined to tip and other workers stated that it's the neighborhood and my kind don't tip. I don't tip because they make hourly and paycheck is not dependent on tips like waitresses and waiters. I refuse to overpay for corporate businesses. I tossed the mediocre donuts in trash and purchased Arundel donuts. Local donut shop with great customer service and flavors. I tip very well there. Shameful behavior in front of customer.
