Shogun In Greenville

Great atmosphere good food a little unseasoned. Needs more sessoning Its quite over priced. We probably wont ho back for two people it costs us 140.00. To me thats highly over priced.... I imagine the bill for our table was over 1000 Thats 6 couples 2 young adults.. spending that kind of money is rediculous to eat!

This was our second time ever at Shogun in Greenville. The first time was in the main dining, but this time we decided to do hibachi as an early birthday celebration for my husband. The food was fantastic, our chef was funny and good. We were seated with another local couple and they were delightful. When I mentioned we were there for my husband's birthday, we got a nice treat to share with the other couple at our table (only $6)! We will be back again!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I ordered the cowgirl roll and asked for no mango or eel sauce. When I got the roll I took a bite and it tasted odd and there was something extremely blue drizzled all over it and it dyed my mouth/hand. I didn’t finish the one bite and asked what the blue sauce was and she said “avocado sauce”, I explained I didn’t want it do to the dye and asked her to remove it from the table and bill. Not eaten. I then checked the menu and no where did it claim the Cowgirl roll even had an ‘Avacado sauce.’ The manager then came to our table and said since I took half a bite of a piece they could not remove it off my bill as all sales are final. (No sale has been made) I explained that the menu didn’t even mention avocado sauce and she said “That’s fair but unfortunate

Our experience at the restaurant was a blend of exceptional and disappointing moments. Our chef, fondly known as "Piggy," was truly remarkable, and the food was delicious, deserving every accolade. However, the rest of the experience left much to be desired. When we arrived, we were informed that we couldn't be seated until the other couple we were expecting had arrived. We asked if we could order drinks while we waited, but the hostess told us there was no bartender available. I mentioned that it was a birthday celebration and inquired about arranging something special, like a small cake or ice cream, after our meal. They are pretty good. Service is always good when we are there. The bartender needs help on how to make martinis. Shouldn't be fizzy in a dirty martinis. Never received salads or soups. They have little things on the table with the salt and pepper and a light to see the menu, which is pretty neat. When the bus boy went to clean up after a table left, he never picked them up to clean under them. There was food and crumbs underneath of it. There was also a huge mess of food on the floor left by the customers, and they didnt clean it up for the next person. Also, we got the egg rolls and they were ice cold. When we sit at the hibachi grill I have witnessed them using a spatula with raw chicken all over and touching the open butter and other foods with it. Not super stoked.
