Shutters Bar & Kitchen

Shutters is a typical hotel restaurant that seems to be plagued with really bad reviews from a long time ago. The bad reviews swayed me away, but I’m glad I ate breakfast and dinner here on Aug 21, 2018. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide selection for good food. They have an omelet station manned by and excellent & friendly cook. The omlett was excellent and so was the bacon. The only negative was that the buffet was $22!!! Big surprise and quite expensive. Dinner was also excellent. I ordered the Shea martini (Shea is a hotel manager who helped me out) and it was delicious, prime rib panini ($18), and apple cobbler ($7). All excellent choices and reasonably priced. Anyway, this restaurant is worth checking out and I believe the problems are likely a thing of the past.

On the menu, they say Fresh Orange Juice. You may believe this means freshly squeezed orange juice. It is not. It’s clearly Tropicana or something out of a box. The breakfast potatoes at the buffet were so unbelievably salty, I thought they killed my taste buds. All this can be yours for $20 a person!

Definitely friendly service, a bit slow to get your order, the Burger was Phenomenal, and the atmosphere is cozy. A great stop when you're a traveller on the go!

Worst service I have ever had. Had to track the waiter down for water, bill. Order was directly from the menu, no changes requested but came out wrong.

Service bad lunch service great breakfast. Food boring and lacked flavor. Guests lounging in booths and others on computers with poor hygiene.
