Sierra Vista Department of Public Works

My husband and I had a flat near the animal shelter on a cold and windy day. The vehicle is new to us and we could not even figure out how to get the jack loose. Ray and Guillermo of the public works department stopped to offer help and even changed the tire for us using their jack. We are so thankful to these two helpful men!!

The city of Sierra Vista, Arizona has a second rate trash pickup. Pickups have been missed on scheduled days. Whoever is responsible for the 2015 Trash and Recycle Schedule wasn't paying attention for the 4th of July weekend. They managed to place the recycle pickup on a RED day. When personnel at the city were contacted they did nothing about it. Finally the city tax dollars are going to waste on someone answering the phone after hours whose only job is to tell people to call back on a working day. I hope the Department of Public Works will get it head out of its rear end and fix the problem because people deserve the service they pay for. Drivers need to pay attention and do the job right. Please: STOP RIPPING US OFF!

I understand city council having the end of fry done to gentrify the area to bring in more revenue, but there are alot of damaged residential streets that are falling apart , kayetane and theatre are both good examples of this And yet.....nothing Having my truck bounce 6 inches up and down because of 3 foot wide foot deep potholes in some of these areas just isn't doing me or my suspension any favors
