I stopped in this restaurant for dinner. When I arrived I was greeted and sat at the bar. I ordered with the nice bartender Gary. I ordered pinot nior and the lamb pasta special. The food was very tasty. The only thing is the wine was a tad pricey. Next time I'll ask before I order. All in all a good experience.
I have a friend who, despite being full Korean, always craves American diner fare when we meet up. I don't know why...and frankly, I'm afraid to ask. I just tell myself that my dewy glass skin reminds him of frying oil. Anyway, the last time we got together, he picked Skinner's Loft for brunch. I was ready to write the place off, but I was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. Skinner's isn't going to win World's Best anything, but it's a solid neighborhood spot with big portions for decent prices. The Buttermilk Pancakes were large, fluffy and satisfying. My Croque Monsieur was perfectly crispy and loaded with delicious melted bechamel, gruyere and prosciutto. One of the tastiest Croque Monsieurs I've had, including the ones I enjoyed living in France, and certainly bigger th
Surprisingly good brunch! Not what you would expect from a bar. We had eggs florentine and they knocked it out of the park. The biscuit tasted freshly made, the home fries were delicious. I will definitely come back.
Me and my wife went for an early dinner. The server was pretty dry and direct with little personality but he wasn’t bad. We had the Beef Brisket potato rounds, Cauliflower Steak and Brisket Sandwich. Everything was properly cooked, being just a tad under seasoned all around. Nothing bad about the experience but it didn’t impress us and with the slew of restaurants near Grove, nothing makes this place be the #1 choice. I hear the rooftop bar is the highlight but I didn’t get to see that this trip.
Punch drunk love cocktail 🍸 was good. The food was okay. Tad over priced in my opinion, for a $45 steak and fries that was kinda lackluster. Perfectly cooked but not much flavor. The salmon was alright as well. Again cooked great, but nothing really special. Thank you for the experience.
