Sky View Diner

I ordered Mondongo to go. Got home and I was so disappointed with it. I’ve had way better. Heck, the Mondongo, in the can, made by Goya, is better. It was full of bones and fatty skin, as you can see from the pics. There was barely any tripe and it and the flavor was mild. To pay $8 for a small soup and it be bad, is beyond annoying. Their breakfast sampler was good for the most part. Everything on the platter was good except the ham. It was a slice of processed deli ham they fried/charred. I would go back for the sampler but not for that Mondongo. It was awful. As for the staff’s customer service, it was subpar. They were very talkative, cheerful and smiled with the regulars, not so much with us. It a nice little spot with small and large booths. The bathroom was nice and it was clean.

The diner is beautiful inside and very clean. The staff is nice however the food was trash. We ordered a cheeseburger and it was cold and the cheese they used was Kraft slice cheese!! We also ordered cheeseburger sliders and as you can see the buns were cheap quality and they were huge, not sliders size, the cheese was Kraft slice cheese and the meat was burnt. The lemonade and the tostones were the best thing we ordered but that garlic dip was literally vegetable oil with bits if garlic sunk to the bottom. No flavor at all. Mozzarella sticks looked good but then we took a bite the cheese was stiff. The fries taste decent, they were cold as well. Honestly we were very happy and excited to try this place because the reviews were good but we will never come back here.

2024 Review - for some reason I never posted my experience at this diner and it deserves a five star review. My family and I were travelling from New Brunswick, Canada to the New York then to Philadelphia and we came across this restaurant. The food and service was fantastic if you live in the area or travelling through,take the time and stop off at this local restaurant for a meal I didn’t have a problem looking for parking.

This place gets packed! But they work pretty fast ! First time here would definitely come back. Food was excellent and came out fast. Breakfast was on point especially for those jalapeños! If you are in the area definitely come by.

Food was good the prices are not expensive very clean place and the people were very nice .
