Slice

While in town from Michigan, my husband & I came into slice to try one of the famous reviewed pizzas. We eneded up getting a large cheese pizza & a wing combo. Both items were spot on. Im not talking just good, im talking AMAZING. We dont have anything like this where we live. The sauce was light in color & SO FRESH. The crust was golden & bubbly with absolutely no flop, and the cheese was fresh & so dang good. We had some minor issues with the combo pricing, but Joe fixed everything & made it right. He is an up front owner who takes pride in his menu & customer support. It really won us over. We were in New York for our daughters college championship soccer game (Delta College Womens Soccer). We came all the way from Michigan. While here, we went went to this pizzeria that was recommended by Dave Portnoy, and man were we impressed. We went with the tried and true cheese pizza. We loved how the sauce was light but the fresh flavor was amazing. Cheese was golden to perfection and not to thick at all. The ratios of cheese, sauce, and crust were spot on. The pizza crust was golden brown with blisters. The "under carriage" was toasted evenly with no flop at all. The owner, Joe, is just as wonderful as the products he serves.. He believes in his menu, and his menu shows it. We spent the entire week in NY & tried all the pizza spots we could. This pizzeria was top notch & the bes

Love this pizza so much! The sauce is so fresh tasting. My favorite is the upside down, but I seriously want to try them all. We got it the first time passing through and had to come back (from Syracuse) for more. The owner overheard that and came out to greet us personally. Super friendly people and the best pizza we’ve had in years!

My son and I have been going to slice for the last 7 years 😎 We absolutely love the consistency of the amazing pizza they make. It's definitely our go-to when we are in the Utica area. We love the cleanliness of the restaurant as well as how inviting the workers are. Keep up the good work guys and gals :-)

Take out only. Pizza was okay, slightly above average. Portnoy gave them a 7.7, I'm thinking more like 6.2. Crust was thick and had no crunch. Sort of floppy, but tasted good. Owner responded that I shouldn't disagree with Dave P. Unfortunately, the pizza that I received was NOT the same as Dave did. I stand by my review, that it was floppy and was lacking crunch, because it's was too thick/doughy. It seems there may be differences between crews, times of day or something. But, I know what I got, and it wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't 'great. Sorry.
