Smackbird Hot Chicken

I have now tried my share of Nashville hot chicken tenders and I can say that Smackbird sits within my top three. I do not get this style of chicken often, so when taking my first few bites, my senses had to adapt. For the curious, I went mid way on spice level which is 'hot' I believe. The first few bites were spicy and exactly what I was looking for in a Nashville hot chicken tender. It was nicely coated and a decent length. For three tenders, the price was comparable to other hot chicken places. The sides were pretty good too. I had the fries which reminded me of the fries from Popeyes or Rally's, kind of cajun styled. I love chicken and consider myself to be the expert on the topic of chicken tenders specifically. The only thing I love more than chicken is banana pudding…both of which were EXCEPTIONAL! This was my first, but absolutely not my last experience with Smackbird!

This place was phenomenal! We walked in with moderate expecations and left as very happy customers! The fire roasted chicken has to be one of the best around hands down! The mac n cheese was very moist and tasty! If you like Spice this is defintely a great place to go as well with options of no heat, to the hottest iv ever had! We definetly recoommend this place. The customer service was 10/10 as well! The manager was very knowlegable and stepped us thru picking the best items for our pallet! If you are in the area or dont mind taking a trip this is defintely a great restaurant to enjoy!

Overall, I’d say my experience was positive. The chicken was good. It was actually better than it looked online. The banana pudding was also really good. The Mac and cheese was okay. My only real issue was that when I went to get my order, they put my canned soft drink and pudding in the same bag as my hot food. First off all, these are wildly different temperatures which should not be next to each other. Secondly, a canned soft drink is significantly heavier than the other two items and should not be put next to them in the same bag.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised by service and quality! I’m not a fan of cream based sauces so I can’t evaluate the Smack Sauce or Coleslaw however, I do love spicy 🌶️! The Hot Smack Option was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥The Fries were cooked to perfection and the Jalapeño Ketchup pulled everything together. I highly recommend it! Just know you have to order online and you can pick your food up inside the Rotisserie Restaurant.
