Smashers

Oh my. It was worth stopping here. We were heading back to our home from OBX and decided to take a break for lunch. What a find! Smashers has perhaps the best smash burger I have ever eaten. It has the “lace” you want and the texture is perfect. Toppings did not overwhelm the burger. I recommend smasher sauce. Excellent. Fries were unique- I ordered a small and the serving was very generous and plenty. Parking is easy. Plenty of outdoor dining area also.

Burger was delicious 9/10, fries were a nah for me, they just tasted like grease 3/10, milkshake was a 7/10. Pretty pricey for the serving, workers were nice, waited 25 minutes for 2 meals, only would recommend the burger.

We liked the burgers, they were seasoned very well. The fries are good, a little more peppery than expected. My daughter loved the cookie and cream milkshake.

3.5 out of 5 if I could. Place was ok, nothing fantastic, wanted to try a different burger place. We ordered takeout. The burger was a 4, fries a 3. They are trying too hard to be like five guys imho, 5Gs is way better. I really liked the smash patties, but, getting it to-go made things a bit messy. Burgers were dripping in grease and wrapped in a small square of foil smashing the bun and veggies. I wish they used shredded iceberg bc the green leaf was extremely wilted and had to toss it. I literally cannot eat a burger without lettuce. The fries were seasoned well, but, reminded me of McDonald's and you don't get enough of them. Luckily, I received 25% off through the app as a 1st time order and it was still $40 for 2 triples and large fries. That's not terrible, but, I'll stick to the OG

Love this place and the food. Got to say hi to the owner and he is so kind. The staff is kind, knowledgeable, and fast. My husband and I brought our sister and her husband today and they loved it just as much as we did. Thankyou for such a great atmosphere.
