Smitty's Homemade Ice Cream

Very good ice cream. Rich and flavorful. Fair price, but is cash only. Lots of available flavors. I came here as a direct comparison against Somerset ice cream. In my opinion, Somerset ice cream is better. Somerset is much richer ice cream. Moreover, their homemade waffle cones are much better than Smitty’s waffle cones. However, Smitty’s does appear to provide more flavor options.

Ginger ice cream was delicious and packed a serious ginger punch. If the other flavors are anywhere near as good, you won't be disappointed.

Amazing!!! Tons of flavors. Every flavor we’ve tried thus far has been excellent! We especially loved the Cape Cod Crunch (vanilla base with craisins, grape nuts, and chocolate chips).

This summer I've been to about a half dozen of MA's most famous ice cream places to find the best, and I can say with certainty Smitty's took the crown, and it's not even close. Smitty served me himself and was so kind and welcoming. Coming from far away, I wanted to know what flavor would bring me back, "amaretto cherry" was the reply, and amaretto cherry was divine. Rich, full-bodied, real chunks of cherry and chocolate chips, and Goldilocks of not too hard and not too gummy. You betcha I'm crossing that bridge, rounding those rotaries, and working up a sweat on the Canal and Shining Sea bikeways again; how else is a mainlander like me going to have a larger serving next time??
