Absolutely ! Flavor decadence, we had the platter all meat sampler and an entree of pumpkin risotto. We were there on Valentines day with out a reservation! Let me say they were incredible with accommodations! This is one wonderful team of staff , they worked exceptionally to serve, and maintain thier flow . This is a do not miss while your in town location!!
This was our first time visiting Traverse City, and we were looking for a BBQ spot for lunch. The restaurant turned out to be a great choice—the food and atmosphere were both very good. Everything is made from scratch (our waiter joked, ‘except the ketchup and the buns’). We tried the pulled pork, which was tender and tasty, and the sides with the ‘pit version’ had a nice gourmet touch. Next time we’re in town, we’ll definitely be back to try the ribs.
We arrived at the end of the night and there was a snowstorm so there was only another couple. The service was great and the staff were fun to interact with. I had the shirt rib that was the special for the day. It was delicious and smoky but the only thing I would have changed was that it needed a pan sauce ass the exterior was a bit dry and the carrot puree was somewhat bland. My GF had the BBQ plate and that didn't seem like a great value for the amount you get. My only suggestion about the interior is that it was COLD in there. For a smokehouse, a fireplace would make the perfect addition to the ambiance. We'll definitely go back!
Had another amazing meal at this restaurant! The fish and chips was amazing, with fresh, flaky john Cross whitefish. The fried smoked chicken was crispy with a nice smoky flavor and absolutely delicious. Paired it all with a great wine, and it was the perfect combination. Our waiter, Paul, was as charming as ever, making the experience even more enjoyable. Can’t wait to return – highly recommend!
Looks can be deceiving, it looks like a slightly modified old Big Boy which is odd. We chose this restaurant based on reviews so we gave it a shot. The service was mehhhh, inattentive bartender and employees discussing waiter/waitress drama. You can see a big ole microwave through the kitchen window which threw a warning but we decided to order food. We ordered the brisket dinner and the short rib gnocchi, both were excellent. The sides that came with the dishes were odd and didn't compliment it but tasted good. Overall, it was good but overpriced for what it actually was.
