Smugglers' Wharf GOOD: Food quality, service and atmosphere BAD: Price heavy on sides and starters I loved my experience at Smuggler's Wharf. The food was delicious, the service fast and friendly and the location is pristine. The bay views make the already cozy interior even better. It loses a star because they really put the squeeze on when it comes to simple things like french fries. Fries are cheap to make and a customer favorite. Your options are 9.00 starter or additional 5.00 when you pay for a sandwich - hard pass. It worked out because the potato salad they offer free is bonkers good. An Erie staple. Right on the bay with a great atmosphere and solid tradition. The service was quick and attentive and the food was well prepared. I had the Blackened Scar (salmon esque fish) which was delightful. Definitely worth a visit even just for the location.

10/3/25: We were going to eat elsewhere, but Smuggler’s Wharf caught our eye! So unique looking! I loved all the ivy growing all over the building and terrace. We weren’t disappointed with this restaurant. The hostess seated us immediately. Our waitress, Shel, was pleasant and professional. Great selections on the menu and so many gluten free options! I ordered the Caribbean Breeze salad with Smoked Salmon added ( very delicious and such a light meal!) and my husband got the All American Burger (a little messy but tasted good) and the Chocolate Chocolate Seduction (cake) for dessert (rich flavor!) We were so happy to find this beautiful restaurant! Definitely recommend.

Had a great meal here. My wife had the blackened Salmon and I had the NY Strip. Both meals were well prepared and the waitress was outstanding.

I've been traveling to Erie, PA since Chase was a little kid. We loved going to Splash Lagoon & the monster truck shows there. Smugglers’ Wharf is located in the Bayfront area and I've probably walked past it 200 times, but we've never stopped. That all changed, last weekend... 🤩 We traveled to Erie for a quick weekend with some friends and one suggested that we stop in, so we did and it was an amazing experience! The ambience is second to none and the vine-covered pergola was perfect on a sunny September afternoon.
