Dined in, here's my experience, Pros: - Great service - Salsa & Chips are good Cons: - No prices on the menu when your ordering. - Beans ok but no flavor. - Rice no good - $4.00 SODAS Birria Plate - 3 / 10 They brought Chile colorado instead of actual Birria Enchiladas - 3 / 10 Sauce was ok, cheese not good, salad non-existent Arrachera plate - 5 / 10 Probably the smallest portion of arrachera I've encountered, flavor 5 / Quality of meat 5 Spent $57 in total, definitely not coming back.

Right across from Roscoe's is excellent little Mexican restaurant. The vibe was really good. I went here almost by accident that's all that they were having specials on talking so for like a buck 30 I got a shrimp taco which was absolutely delicious, even though if it was fried more that I normally like. The service was absolutely delightful. I'll be back for the chilaquiles. RIP little Sophia 😢

Sofia’s is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Pasadena. The salsa are incredible! The owner is really sweet.

Every evening when driving home on Lake Ave, I would see a line of people outside at this restaurant and I always wondered how it was. I finally got around to trying Sofia's today and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it! I tried the asada and birria tacos with an horchata to drink. First thing I did was take a sip of the horchata - it was so fresh tasting! I'm used to most places having horchata that's too watery or doesn't have quite the right amount of spices, but this one was perfect! After getting back home, I started in on the birria tacos first. They were so juicy and flavorful. The meat tasted like they cooked it with care and they had this hot green salsa that added a delightful spiciness to it. Next were the asada tacos.
