Sonny's BBQ

Driving through Valdosta with stomachs craving Sonny's BBQ!!! We waited all week to stop on the way back north. I only cried a little while driving by at 1 a.m. on the way south. The food was so worth the wait. We ordered a Sonny's Sampler, with.... Smoked chicken,brisket, ribs, pulled pork, slaw, beans and cornbread. Yes, all that yumminess on 1 giant plate. My order was Pork Platter with slaw, beans and garlic toast. Everything was so tender, juicy and full of flavor, just as we remembered. Thank you Sonny's BBQ for consistent quality. Our service and the atmosphere, we're sweet and comfortable. We scheduled our trip back around stopping in for a memory and a great meal. Both were beyond our expectations!!!

Our server, Ashlyn, was wonderful. Some of the servers at other restaurants need to take some pointers on how to treat customers. She was so nice and made sure we had everything we needed. She was even sweet enough to let my mom use her jacket because she was cold. The food is always delicious especially the baked beans.

For the price that was a lot of food. The sweet potatoes was by far the best side ever and I was not expecting that. I personally thought that the baked beans were way too sweet that they were almost not edible. I really enjoyed the meat platter and trying different meats. The pulled pork was fantastic. I can't say our service was wonderful, they messed up our orders, they didn't have clean knives, the tables were dirty. It was late though so it maybe there was a short staff? Not sure. The food was okay. Wouldn't go back based on customer service experience but maybe I'd do take out.

We had a pleasant dinning experience thanks to our server Brailey R. She was very patient with us as it was our first time here. The candied bacon burger was so yummy. we will definitely be back

I ordered the pulled chicken plate with fried okra and a side salad. The chicken was lightly sauced and had the perfect amount of smoke!!! The okra portion and side salad were larger than anticipated and tasted absolutely amazing. HIGHLY recommend a stop at Sonny's!!!!! 😊
