3.5 / 5.0 - We got a bit hungry while shopping at the Sono Collection, so we went to the 3rd floor for a bite to eat. There were several options at the food court area and adjacent tables where we could sit down to eat. I tried the Pho Meat, which I guess is what you’d expect at a food court, but was expensive for what it was. There was plenty of noodles and meat, but the noodles were thin and the soup wasn’t hot enough for the raw vegetables to cook. I haven’t tried it yet, but maybe the ramen would be a better choice.
Luckily I don’t go much by reviews. Sono Ramen is Super Delicious, the flavor is there and the portion is what you would get at a regular Ramen spot. I ordered the Spicy Ramen with extra pork, Takoyaki and Tofu Spicy Miso Ramen. The flavor is amazing and definitely NOT bland like another review read. Go for yourself and check it out, for a spot in the mall it’s great eats. ❤️
🍜 Overview & Vibe • Located in SoNo Collection (100 N Water St, Norwalk), Sono Ramen offers a cozy, casual dining atmosphere functionally combined with the mall’s food court concept . • While it serves fast-food style ramen, it’s appreciated for its efficiency and friendliness: “people behind the counter are courteous and your order comes out fast” . ⸻ 🥢 Food & Quality • Generous portion sizes and fresh noodles are consistent strengths. Multiple Yelp reviewers noted serving size as a standout: “Pretty good for fast food ramen… generous…” . • Char siu buns are often praised as a highlight: “The char siu buns were perfect” . • Some inconsistency reported: one recent review mentioned the chicken tasting “like cardboard,” and another noted “service is horrible” at times . ⸻ 👍 •
This small stand packs a lot of flavor. The ramen is authentic and tasty! I have been coming to the sono mall on and off for 6 months but this is the first time I have found the restaurant open... And I was very happy it was! The broth was super flavorful and the chashu was tender. Prices were a slightly high for the portion size but it is a mall, and it is fresh ramen, so I couldn't say no. I also got an order of steamed buns which were perfect! I will absolutely will be back next time I am in the mall.
Went here for their soft opening today, only their ramen is available with no side menu items. Ordered the shio ramen and the shoyu ramen. Overall quite impressed. Their broth is flavorful, the pork is very well cooked and delicious, and the tamago is wonderful. My only suggestion would be to ask for no spinach, it isn't the best greens for this ramen and kind of takes away from the dish. I will be sure to come back to try out their side menu!
