Soo Spice Yeti

Incredible authentic flavors and unmatched hospitality! Must try! The owners are so kind and guided us through the menu. The attention to detail and quality of the food was amazing and I highly suggest to anyone to dine in for a wonderful experience. There were many amazing flavors, both comforting and new for all types of palettes. I also suggest trying their Masala Tea, it was so good I ordered a second! I’ll come back to the Soo just for this place it’s so good!

Stopped in for lunch and had a wonderful dining experience. The owner took time to introduce himself, share about his culture, and go through the menu to ensure we were confident with our selections. We ordered the Spring rolls, Gobi Manchurian (battered cauliflower in a sauce), Szechuan Veg Noodles, and Steamed Veg Momo. All spice levels were very tolerable and you indicate how spicy you would like each item to be. Portions were very generous and everything is made fresh to order. This is a wonderful new addition to Sault Ste. Marie. If you've been considering checking this place out, and haven't done so yet, do yourself a favour and go. You won't be disappointed! We chose Soo Spice Yeti while looking for Nepali cuisine, and it turned out to be the only Nepali restaurant in the entire Sault Ste. Marie. The ambience was quite pleasant and culturally rich—Buddhist prayer flags (lungta) adorned the walls, Himalayan imagery was displayed throughout, and there was a beautiful hand-painted landscape created by one of the restaurant’s owners. I was genuinely fascinated by the wall paintings. Initially, I felt a bit skeptical about the food quality since it was the only place of its kind, but that concern quickly faded. We ordered some must-have staples from the menu: chicken steamed momos, chicken chow mein, and chicken chilli (dry). This was my first experience at this restaurant and I was very happy with it! The service was excellent and very welcoming. The food was also extremely delicious. I got the chilly chicken momos (on the left) and the kurkure chicken momos (on the right). Both so delicious and fresh tasting. I also got the veggie fried rice. I can’t wait to try more dishes from here in the future!

The atmosphere is nice, calming music is playing. Staff is welcoming and attentive, they keep coming and asking how you feel. We tried Tom Yum, momo and one more dish. If you tried Tom yum in Thailand, I suggest not to order it here, it is an absolutely different dish (taste, ingredients). Momo and appetizer (uncooked instant noodles with veggies) were okay. We'll probably come again and go with authentic Nepali cuisine.
