What a great find in downtown Augusta, Georgia!! A nurse at my doctors office suggested SoSal for lunch! Great food, friendly staff, clean and they had the cutest outside patio area! I’ll definitely be back with friends in tow!! Located on Broad Street next to Augusta & Co.
it was me and bf first time in there and we loved it! it’s the best damn salads for college athletes to eat and not feel heavy. i could eat this everyday if i wanted too and still feel full! this place was really cool! staff was very nice and encourages us to try anything ! best money we spend!
I went after their rebranding and was served wilted/browning lettuce. Disappointed they got rid of the rice bowls and are now focusing on sandwiches, but mostly just unimpressed with the freshness of the salad itself. Edit: old review below from before rebrand/menu change. Old review: Great fresh options with tons of flavor. The service here is always great. I really like the burrito bowl and their cornbread is delicious.
The food is healthy and fresh. They have lots of options to pick from. A lot of the products are local, the greens, the drinks, ect. Initially I was concerned about the price, but 1) it's comparable to other to-go restaurants, 2) it's healthy and 3) it's supporting local business, not a chain. My favorites are the wraps and melts, but the salads are good too.
This place recently opened up and it seems to be targeted towards the millennial crowd and all of the stereotypes associated with that. Since I'm squarely included in that demographic, I decided to give it a try. The ingredients in my "grain bowl" were all fresh and tasty. I ordered the "Triple B" which included avocados, quinoa, BBQ ranch, and a whole bunch of other millennial-centric flavors. I added shrimp to my bowl for 3 dollars extra, and while they only gave me 4 pieces, they were actually surprisingly fresh and exceptionally well seasoned. My wife made her own bowl with salmon (extra salmon), corn, butternut squash, bleu cheese and roaster peppers and she said she loved it. What I didn't love was the price however. It was essentially 30 bucks for the southern equivalent of a poké
