South Beach Fish Market

A cool stop to experience at least once. I make a point of stopping by any time I'm in the area. Tried their fish and chips, pop corn shrimp and other and it's all good. You can sit outside with lots of room for your pet. During the high season, it's busy and there's a line but it goes by pretty quick.

We visited South Beach Fish Market with high expectations, drawn in by its glowing reviews and reputation for serving up fresh, fast seafood to hungry crowds. When we arrived, the line was long and lively, with patrons queued up to order at the counter. Despite the crowd, the staff kept things moving efficiently. Exactly what I was expecting from the reviews and pictures. Fast, efficient, and super fresh seafood at reasonable prices. The cod and chips were generous, and served so hot it was obvious they were right out off the fryer. Malt vinegar and ketchup on the tables. No it wasn't pristine and you have to get your own silverware, but that's exactly the vibe of the place. We went back a day later for a whole cooked Dungeness Crab, and they bagged it no fuss and we were out the door. This is an excellent to-go shop, they haven't the tube for frills, but if you're here for the seafood, they've got you. The crab was sweet, tender, delicious with a warm up in a pot with hot water. It was also expertly cleaned, which made eating it easy. So good We'll be back.

Freshest fish and the best fish & chips we have ever had! The halibut was so moist and tender. I have never had fish & chips taste this good! Even the fries were perfect! Extra crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. These guys got it down to a science! Large serving too. Hubby's and I split one and it was plenty. If we had been staying over night, we would have bought two and taken leftovers with us.
