South Block

Trendy new place to get smoothies and açaí bowls, but maybe these types of smoothies are just not my thing. I got the Blue Sky smoothie and it just tasted like avocado or something. The service was great though and it seems like a great place to hang out!

I’m very disappointed in my experience at South Block. Since I love smoothie bowls, I decided to try a new place. However, the experience was extremely disheartening. I specifically requested no granola at the kiosk, however, when I got my bowl it had granola. I wasn’t able to tell at first though because my toppings (fruit was on top), as I was eating the fruit I saw granola at the bottom. It wasn’t an extreme amount, but it was still a good amount,. I am allergic to granola, so this is very upsetting. I actually did see what happened, the girl that made my bowl put granola, on it at first, and then scraped it off, but clearly didn’t do a good job at it. I would not recommend the South Block at Ballantyne for anyone who has allergies, or restrictions, since clearly the person who made the

Stopped by this new place recently just to check it out. We started with smoothies and ordered the Strawberry Cloud. Ordered through the app and got $5 off the first purchase (with a $10 minimum), which was a nice bonus. The place is cute and clean, and the staff were super friendly. The smoothie was honestly amazing — highly recommend it. The only downside is the price. $11 for a smoothie is a bit much, but everyone’s different, so I won’t knock off a star for that. P.S. I really liked that when you order online, you get a text when your drink is ready, and it’s kept in the fridge instead of just sitting on the counter.

Love the smoothie bowls, especially the chocolate covered strawberry bowl! The staff is friendly and the service is great! Emily has been at the register the past few times I’ve been and she always provides excellent recommendations for bowls to order and is so friendly and helpful! Definitely my new favorite smoothie place!

Bowl was delicious. Staff was friendly and attentive. And my bowl was divine. Highly recommend
