South Swell Hand Dipped Ice Cream

Went to South Swell in San Clemente and it was a really good experience. They have a solid variety of flavors and different options to pick from, which made it tough to choose. The girl working at the front was super sweet and gave us some insight into which flavors were the most popular and her personal favorites, which helped a lot. We ended up going with a Butterfinger dipped popsicle and a vanilla soft serve topped with coconut and chocolate. The coconut honestly surprised me. It had such a good crunch and was not overpowering at all. The soft serve itself was perfect. Great flavor, super creamy, and paired really well with the chocolate. My favorite was definitely the Butterfinger popsicle. The crunch from the chocolate dip mixed with the peanut butter drizzle was just next level. Suc

Loved our ice cream bars from South Swell! We ordered the bomb fire and the parent trap flavors and thought they were great. Friendly staff and cute decor. Recommend!

Yes, please!!! Huge ice cream fan and this place does not disappoint. Several excellent choices - I did the Girl Scout mint cookies with the vanilla soft serve - very, very good! Friend got the banana dipped in chocolate and rolled in nuts. Heard this place is usually rockin’ and I can see why. Great service with a smile and an excellent treat at a decent price!

It’s pretty good. First time here, tried different flavours of syrups and toppings. Ice cream is huge. Barely finished it. Very friendly staff, clean inside and out.

Amazing! The s'more and the parent trap are the winners! Hands down. We could have shared, so much bar left over, because it is so sweet and way to much sugar. Street parking can be challenging. And the line can be long, but it is worth it, and moves quickly, unless you have indecisive kids, like me. Bring water or buy water, as the bars make one really thirsty.
