When the COVID-19 vaccine became available, I phoned SLC County Health to get in as soon as an appointment was available & as it happened this location had the 1st. I came w/my 80 yr old friend & neighbor & the experience for us both was excellent. This has also been the location where I’ve received all of my boosters since, except one, & every occasion has been as positive as the 1st. I’ve both come w/an appointment made 1st or as a walked-in since it was on my route to somewhere else. Everyone I’ve encountered has been friendly, efficient & informative. Honestly, I cannot say enough about the quality of service & I’m very thankful for it indeed. Kudos!!!

I was able to walk-in and get my Covid-19 booster without an appointment right away (I went around 10:15 AM on a Weds - likely any day during the week before 2:30pm would be like this - ie before kids are out of school). The staff was all very professional, efficient & friendly. I was thrilled at all of it, especially given that all the pharmacies taking appointments were 5-10 days out. Obviously, you will need your vaccine card & ID, but this was a great experience and I didn’t even know this location existed until a friend told me about it. It’s the old Peterson Library hidden behind the KFC.

I've made three trips to the PHC in the last six months. The service has been consistently slow, even with appointments. The clinic staff has made basic, avoidable mistakes with my child's vaccines every time. They haven't read our records, resulting in an extra, unnecessary vaccine. They have mistimed another vaccine, resulting in our having to have it redone, and they tried to place the blame for both mistakes on someone else. Today, they refused to give me a vaccine I need in order to safely care for a newborn next month because there is an error in the state's records falsely showing that I already received the vaccine. Although that records error wasn't the clinic's fault, they didn't care that I could prove I never had the vaccine (as I could prove I wasn't even living in the state

Staff is nice but service is so SLOW. Like trying to get 3G in Africa. I would not come back here again it took 2 and a half hours to get flu shots for our family of 4 and cost $90. If I had known it would cost that much I would've just fine to Walgreens. Do Not Use the Health Department If Possible. AVOID.

I wanted to take the time to say. I really appreciate Gerry Bourke . What a delightful soul filled with helpful information. He was pleasant and informative. I want you to know he represented Salt Lake Country in such a professional way that I felt proud of you and the work you do. Thanks so much Gerry !!
