Southern Maid Donut Shop

This donut shop is an absolute gem in our neighborhood. The place is cozy, the atmosphere is warm, and the people are incredibly kind. One thing that stands out to me is the beautiful mix of cultures among the employees — it’s the only store around here where you see that, and it makes all the difference. I don’t know the owner personally, but I’m 100% sure he treats his employees with great respect, because it clearly reflects in the way they treat customers. I’ve always been welcomed with such kindness and genuine smiles. One of the things I love most is meeting people from different backgrounds. Very clean interior sitting area. Amazingly fresh and yummy donuts! Employees smile and make eye contact creating a welcoming environment! Highly recommend over any of the chain stores and even over the sacred Ship…..also for those parents that eat carnivore or keto you special order eggs cheese sausage or bacon!

Always a good donuts and service, I was in the drive through line around 7a, Nov 1, 2025. A gentleman who drove a beige Toyota truck with a grill came behind the counter and begin to work. Didn’t bother to wash his hands and didn’t put on gloves while whipping his nose with the knuckle of his thumb. Cmon now, we can do better than that. Sanitation is a must

The donuts are not frosted to even half the top, only 1/4 of the top is frosted. The apple fritter is OVER FRIED to the point where it's hard a rock and not edible! (See pic) I Really wanted some assorted flavored donuts, like the old days, but they all had Sprinkles on them..... why???? I didn't see 1 kid in the store buying donuts, yet all the colored donuts had sprinkles. A fresh tray of assorted colored donuts was coming out from the back and ALL of them had 'Sprinkles'. I was so dissappointed!!! I really wanted to have some flavored (orange, cherry, lemon) donuts and drove all the way over there and couldn't get what I wanted. I don’t get it— why open at 430 but there are never any glaze? That’s the most popular item… just open later if you’re not going to serve it?
