Sovereign has really consistent, quality espresso! One of my favorite coffee shops in Brownsville. I would definitely recommend it for anyone who wants really good coffee. Their specialty drinks are really good and inventive as well. I love the dark and stormy

I recommend this spot for people that know what single origin should taste like and don't drink "flavored beans" A high quality coffee shop with thoughtful espresso drink options. We got our drinks to stay and sat at a small table in the back. Seating is a little cramped. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff is really nice. We got drinks and hung out for 45mins and paid on our way out. Agave Latte with oat milk was great. It had a good flavor balance but Next time I'll try it half sweet or try the lavender.

If you’re visiting, this is a great coffee place to stop by. Absolutely love the iced agave latte. Baristas are super nice and helpful too! Plus the owner and baristas are committed to studying coffee to give us the best flavor. They gave us new flavors every season too!

I love this place! Their locations in Brownsville and Harlingen have great ambience, service, and coffee! My only reason for withholding a 5-star review is because of the picture attached. I had heard from a friend that when they went to their Brownsville location, they found that the barista had pre-pulled espresso shots ready to make drinks. I didn’t believe it, until I saw it for myself. This was extremely off-putting knowing the high quality that sovereign holds themselves to. Having pre-made shots not only changes the coffee flavor, but it looks lazy. I understand during high peak hours how it may be helpful, but this wasn’t one of those times. In my time spent there, about 20 minutes, those shots weren’t used. My wife asked that our drinks would be made with freshly pulled shots
