If you’re craving a true Indian buffet experience in Lee’s Summit, Spice of Bombay delivers a feast that feels both authentic and comforting. Walking up to the buffet, you’re immediately greeted by the rich aroma of cumin, coriander, turmeric, and freshly baked naan. The spread offers a beautiful variety — creamy curries, vibrant vegetable dishes, fragrant rice, and sizzling tandoori specialties — all kept fresh and replenished regularly. The butter chicken is a standout: silky, mildly sweet tomato cream sauce with tender, well-marinated pieces of chicken. The chicken tikka masala has a deeper, slightly smokier flavor, while the lamb curry is hearty and slow-cooked to perfection. For vegetarians, dishes like palak paneer and chana masala are just as flavorful and satisfying, packed with

Sat., Jan. 31, 2026 - Being a recently opened restaurant we tried this place and was not disappointed at all. Located in the former " Dragon J " space in the shopping center at 3rd and Ward Rd in Lee's Summit, MO. Think Hy-Vee shopping center. Upon entry into the restaurant is a well stocked and appealing buffett. Stepping into the dining area are beautiful white tables, set with hammered brass copper goblets and pitchers for water service and gold eating utensils placed on real cloth napkins. The service was superior, the food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. Very classy interior and tastefully decorated. The single restroom was clean and had a baby changing table. We arrived near opening time and the place filled up fast. I had the " butter chicken " which tickled my taste b

Spice of Bombay earns a solid 4 stars. The food was great, hot, fresh, and full of flavor. We ordered the meal for two special and had plenty left to take home, which was a nice bonus. The experience started a bit rough, as the initial service felt unfriendly and inattentive, and the food took longer than expected. That said, it was clear everything was cooked to order, which we appreciated. Toward the end of the meal, the service completely turned around. The host/waiter were attentive and even brought out an off menu dessert for us to try, which was a thoughtful touch. The restaurant itself is easy to find, with plenty of seating, and the space feels modern and clean. With strong food and improved service by the end, it’s a place we’d return to.

We had an amazing experience at Spice of Bombay. The food was absolutely phenomenal — truly melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Every dish we tried was full of flavor, perfectly seasoned, and clearly made with care. They offer a full buffet with a great variety of options, which made it easy to try a little bit of everything. While it is on the pricier side, the quality of the food makes it completely worth it. You can taste the difference. The staff struck the perfect balance with service. They were present, attentive, and available if we needed anything, but they didn’t constantly interrupt or hover — which made the experience even more enjoyable and relaxed. If you’re looking for flavorful, authentic Indian cuisine that’s worth the price, this place is definitely a must-try. We’ll absolute

Tonight we tried the new Spice of Bombay Indian restaurant in Lee’s Summit. I had the Chicken Curry and my husband had the Chicken Tikka Masala. We split chicken samosas as an appetizer and had garlic naan with our meal. Everything was absolutely delicious! Service was attentive and helpful. We will definitely be back!
