Spiro's Taverna of St. Lucie West

I visited Spiro's Taverna in St. Lucie West with my boyfriend on Valentine’s Day, and we had such a lovely experience. The customer service was wonderful from start to finish. Our waitress (I didn’t catch her name, but she had red hair) had the sweetest personality and made us feel so welcome. She truly added to the whole vibe of the night. It was my first time trying Greek food, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved it! The falafel was definitely my favorite — perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I also had the chicken gyro sandwich. The flavor was good, but the chicken was a little on the dry side for me. I have never experienced some a lousy Customer service! Came with wife and daughter, ordered a bunch of food, Appetizers and Main courses ( Salmon for me) They bring the appetizers… all good, 5 minutes later they bring the ENTIRE MAIN COURSES! I tell the waitress to PLEASE TAKE THEM BACK and give us A little more time because I WANT MY FOOD WARM!! Although the place was clean, and they have a nice patio with live music on some nights, the selection left something to be desired. The falafel appetizer comes with 3 deep fried falafel balls, Greek salad is basic. Souvlaki Dad said was dry, mom asked if the chicken was breast and the waitress co formed with the li e cooks, only to bring out thigh meat. Good news though, they took it off the bill when mom sent it back, and didn’t charge extra for the hair in my husband’s pasta!

Won't be back. First off I ordered different sides. The Gyro I did order fries, the "cheesesteak" was supposed to have lemon potatoes. As you can see in the picture we only got fries. Secondly where's the beef? Reviews I read said generous, NOT. That cheesesteak is the weakest one I've ever purchased! AND it was sweet!? Only "seasoning" I tasted was sugar!? Thirdly the Gyro meat had barely any flavor, weakest tasting Gyro meat I've ever had. Probably frozen meat. My rating had nothing to do with service (which was bad as my order was Not correct) or atmosphere as I ordered to go. But nothing stood out while I was waiting for my to go order. Just unhappy having wasted $30, so glad I didn't give a generous tip like I usually do. I don't understand the 4.6 rating that drew me to this place. B

We ordered a chicken gyro and a reg gyro. The meat on the chicken was tough, dry and over cooked had no lettce and one slice of tomato. My son had a reg gyro and the meat was over cooked bearly had meat on it and no lettuce or tom. We took it to go cause my daughter was not feeling well. Wish I ate it there so I could send it back. Terrible. There server was super nice and attentive. The food is a no go. I would post a pic of my sons but he ate it in the car. Mine went to the trash. Money lost.
