Sporty's Wing Shack & Smoke House

I've never been here, and I'm immediately impressed with the atmosphere. It's Christmas time, and kind voices are jabbering cheerily and laughing. It's always fun to have those shining spirits in the bar. Looking forward to the food - I'm going to update this as soon as we try our entrees. We're splitting the chimi and an order of boneless. Let's go Sporty's! I've heard good things. ❤️‍🔥 Edit - The chimichanga came not as expected but was good nonetheless, the wings did not disappoint. Definitely worth a try if you haven't.

The fries were good. Had to wait 25 minutes for our entrees (Sunday afternoon). The Cuban sandwich had over-smoked dry ham and dry pork; hard to eat. The chimichanga was burnt. The appetizer wings came after the entrees. The wings were supposed to be a 7 level of heat but were more like 1 or 2 with the thin sauce pooling at the bottom of the basket and not sticking to the wings. But the fries were good....

I drove past this place a few years ago when visiting the Pinconning area. I actually took a picture of the place because I knew that I wanted to try it some day. Well yesterday was the day. MLive actually wrote an article about this place saying that this place had the 4th best wings in Michigan. That definitely contributed in my decision to try this place. So I went in and sat at the bar. The atmosphere was very nice. It kind of had an up north country feel with a somewhat of a chicken theme. I looked at that menu and it was a bit overwhelming with the amount of sauces to choose from. One thing that I thought was really neat was that there were about 15 different levels of heat. I decided to order 7 wings with 4 sauces. I also got some waffle fries to dip the sauces in. So I got the

Great Food. Everything we had was excellent! Owner even gave us free smoked poppers and a half slab of ribs to try cause we didnt order any! Very Good and we will be back

I got 2 different flavors of bone in wings and wasn't a fan of them. One of them tasted like cherry syrup and the other had very little flavor. The service wasn't all that either, we had to ask several times for refills and napkins before we would get them. This place had maybe 5 tables with people at them and still had to wait about an hour for our food to come out.
