Spouter Tavern

This is a recreated tavern that is cozy but VERY small! I recommend sitting outdoors if the weather is nice enough. I stopped in twice, once during the What Lurks Beneath event for a beer and once the following day for a quick snack. The service was quite good and fast. They made the alterations I needed to have a warm quick vegan bite. I got the flatbread without cheese and a Whalers IPA. The flatbread was meh, with too much balsamic vinegar. The regional beer was delicious. I ordered it everywhere I found it available on the menu! I recommend eating before you get to the museum grounds because the food is average and the prices are really high. Stop by the tavern for the service and the beer!

Came here for the museum’s member appreciation day, and the Tavern was serving complimentary snacks. I didn’t get the name of the person working behind the bar making drinks that night, but he was working alone and despite it being really busy (and hectic), he was patient, polite and funny with everyone there. While my family sat outside at one of the tables to enjoy the music, he brought out a fresh batch of hot pretzels that he had just made and he gave it to us, and another table. We all sat and watched the sunset while enjoying music, and delicious pretzels!

Consider it more of a historical site than an actual restaurant. Delivers on the experience but the food... It's basically microwave food.

I wouldn’t get food from here but it’s great to grab some drinks and walk around the sites

We love going to the Mystic seaport and this was a great pub! The food was terrific and the beer was great. You order inside of the counter and they bring it to your table outside. They also have indoor seating. Would recommend if you are going to see the historic village.
