Spruce Pine Inn

I stayed here on weekends for 13 weeks while on a traveling nursing contract, and it was a great fit for my needs. It was affordable, conveniently located just minutes from my job, and ideal for someone working a demanding schedule. While the property is older with dated furniture, the beds are comfortable, and it’s clear they are making updates room by room. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, and they were very accommodating of my odd work hours. A special shoutout to Chris, he’s knowledgeable about both the inn and the surrounding area and truly goes above and beyond to ensure guests are taken care of. Overall, a pleasant and reliable place to stay during a long-term assignment.

The bones of this in-town motel are good, and the new owners are diligently renovating it, a few rooms at a time. Shows promise!||But --- all reviews prior to 2019 should be disregarded, and the glowing 2019 Excellent review ("cozy little boutique motel") by Jeff the manager/renovator was really contrary to our experience. ||We were in a nicely renovated room on the second floor of the solidly built brick motel. Still, we were given pause right away, heading up the open-framed stairs from the parking lot -- by the good view of the rusted frame (parts were rusted out, but it still seemed solid, though). Was in town for several Months for work. From day 1 had nothing but a good experience with staff, especially Chris, the maintenance person who wore many hats besides maintenance. Location is quiet & peaceful, & à short drive to local stores & food. Will definitely be back in the future. TY for the hospitality!

Helpfull staff , convenient location, lovely room. Cozy friendly and classy. I will definitely be returning. Thank you to Christopher who made me feel comfortable from the first conversation.

Don't stay here I paid $85 for a room where the water wouldn't shut off and the tub was cracked and chipping all to pieces. Of course I requested a refund which is still to be determined after I was pointed to the no refunds sticker on the desk.
