Spunky Monkey Alaska

This shop is unbelievably cute. They mainly sell souvenirs, but the selection feels genuinely Alaskan in a way that’s hard to find. Many of the items are unique and have real local character. It doesn’t feel like the typical tourist shop where everything is stamped with a huge “ALASKA” label. The products here feel more thoughtful, distinctive, and fun to browse. On the day I visited, there was only one woman working. She was handling the register and also managing a small coffee bar area in the back, so she was basically running the entire place by herself. When more customers came in, there was some waiting, which was understandable given the limited staffing. If you enjoy hunting for souvenirs with local flavor, this is a lovely spot to check out if you’re passing by.

Overall, Spunky Monkey is a really fun place to get local products, and alaskan made stuff. Love the vibe of the store. Can't quite recommend the coffee as all 3 drinks we got really missed the mark on flavor. But I'm definitely coming back to do some shopping!

Wonderful staff. Great selection. You could walk around for an hour and still find new things hidden here and there. If you’re looking for a gift, this store has a lot of variety and options…there’s something for everyone.

I like going in here and browsing the selection, most stuff is really overpriced, so if I do go in I only buy 1 item or 2 . The coffee ☕ is not very good , would not recommend. I would recommend SPUNKY MONKEY if you need a gift last minute their is really something for every one .
