Sr. Ceviche Jax Beach

I recently visited this Peruvian restaurant, and I can honestly say it was one of the most interesting dining experiences I’ve had in Jacksonville. The cuisine is very different from what I’m used to, and it was exciting to explore new flavors and dishes. Everything I ordered felt fresh and new to me — even the ceviche, which I’ve tried before, came in a completely different style. I would rate this place a solid 4 out of 5. There were a couple of small drawbacks, but I’m hoping they were just off-moments rather than something consistent. First, our drinks took quite a long time to arrive. This is a cute little place and the food is absolutely fantastic! I'm glad the first place I was looking at had a full parking lot with the result that I just stumbled on Sr Ceviche. The menu was presented on tablets, which might dissuade some people, but I loved the large full color photos of each dish. There was no guessing what I was getting, it was right there on the screen, and this helped as I'm not terribly familiar with Peruvian food. With help from my server, I settled on the Duo, which is a boat plate split between the seafood Paella and the fish ceviche. This was a great way to taste both and I was not disappointed. The ceviche here is absolutely delicious—fresh, bright, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of citrus and spice. Every bite tasted clean and flavorful, and you could tell the ingredients were fresh. By the time I left, I was full and happy because everything we tried was spot-on. The atmosphere matched the food, making the whole experience even better. If you get the chance to go, don’t hesitate—it’s definitely worth it!

We had the Lomo Saltado and Pescado a lo Macho, paired with a passion fruit juice, and everything was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The service was prompt, and our server was very friendly. Out of all the nearby Peruvian restaurants, this one truly stood out and has become our new go-to spot. As a bonus, it’s just steps from the beach — perfect for bringing guests and enjoying a stroll afterward. Highly recommend!

Amazingly friendly service, other worldly delicious food! I haven't had good Peruvian food in forever and this was an amazing treat! Ceviche was phenomenal, my entre was hearty and so good, and the desert was perfectly matched and just as amazing. The Red Barbarian was an excellent beer to accompany it all. I will definitely be back!
