I live close by and have gotten take out a few times. Like others, I really dig their “quesadillas” (really hard shell tacos with cheese on the bottom). I also like their various breakfast platters (see picture). The arbol salsa is also spectacular… However…some things here are not spectacular. As others have noted, their regular tacos are lackluster in no small part due to the piles of shredded iceburg lettuce they throw on top. Also some of the meats are kind of gross. Both the Al Pastor and chicken tacos were much wetter/sloppier than expected, tasted low quality, were in huge chunks, and had no evidence of being warmed up on a grill or flattop. I’ve had much better luck with just beans, chorizo and potato, and chicken tinga—-so I would recommend sticking to fillings where grilled meat

fell inlove with st james quesadillas from the moment I tried it ! The chicken quesadilla are my go to order, I love the crunchiness of the hard shell with cheese on the bottom, their signature green sauce is out of this world and is what makes the place so great. I would recommend to call and pick up your order since Its located inside a deli which sometimes can get packed and feel a bit overwhelming. Definitely recommend if you are around the area and in the mood for some quesadillas !
