ordered a Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso and was shocked at how poorly it was made. This drink was completely unappealing watery, separated, and foamy in all the wrong ways. The texture was off, the taste was bitter and flat, and it looked nothing like the smooth, balanced shaken espresso it’s supposed to be. Starbucks promotes this drink as rich, smooth, and flavorful, but what I received was honestly disgusting. For the price I paid, I expected a properly made drink, not something that looks and tastes like it was thrown together with no care. This was such a letdown. Starbucks really needs to work on consistency and quality because experiences like this make me think twice about coming back to this location.

A Hollow Grind on Buckeystown Pike If I could give zero stars on Google, which for me takes some doing, I’d need a shovel—because that rating doesn’t go deep enough. Stopped by the Starbucks located inside Barnes & Noble at 5500 Buckeystown Pike, Suite 200, Frederick, MD 21703. Dropped $22 on two drinks that tasted like someone whispered the word “coffee” over a cup of melted ice and unresolved disappointment. We waited 10–15 minutes—not for craftsmanship or care, but for something that barely qualified as finished. In addition, the barista had to throw out the first set of drinks from what we observed, we think she might have put the wrong milk in, but we are unsure. Definitely one of the worst service experiences I’ve had. The cashier didn’t even bother to put the heat protectors on the cups so we wouldn’t burn our hands — I guess she was waiting for us to have an accident. The attitude was unpleasant, and they still couldn’t get my order right. There wasn’t even any customer traffic to justify the mistakes. Very disappointing and unprofessional. I definitely won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone.
