It’s always busy when I come here, but this time there was only one person making drinks, whereas on other visits there are usually two or three people working that area. It did take a while to get my drink, but I genuinely don’t mind the wait considering what she was juggling on her own. Major credit to the girl handling everything solo. She looked incredibly overwhelmed, and at one point I even noticed her tear up, which honestly broke my heart. I can imagine the amount of pressure she must have been under trying to keep up with such a constant rush. I overheard her mention that she was behind on drinks, which was understandable given how busy it was. Even with all that stress, she still made a conscious effort to smile and thank every customer who showed her kindness. That kind of grac
Food and drinks were okay but I am very disappointed with how disrespectful certain employees express their feelings to others when simply asking questions. I understand many have their differences but the way many customers had to experience this was not appropriate. I understand it is busy and can get stressful at times but theres no reason for employees or customers to experience such behavior from others.
Today was the release of the holiday bear cups, and my friend and I woke up early to be outside before the store opened. However, when we arrived, we realized that an employee who had access to the keys had already purchased several cups before opening hours. This felt really unfair, because customers like us waited patiently and still there was no stock left once we were allowed in. I understand that employees may also want to buy items, but the schedule and customer line should be respected. Purchases like this should be transparent and fair to everyone. I hope management addresses this issue, so there are no favoritism or early purchases by staff before the store opens to the public.
This location just gets employees off the short bus. They don't care about a job or service. Go next door to the Bookwork and get better coffee and service. Costs the same.
Prompt service, savvy management, helpful advice, and warm inviting cafe experience. The baristas on New Year's Eve and January 1 were professional and attentive to detail.
