I usually enjoy trying different drinks at Starbucks, but my recent experience was really disappointing. I ordered three Dragonfruit & Coconut Milk Refreshers(3), Blonde Espresso and an Iced White Chocolate Mocha. The coconut milk in the refreshers tasted off and gave the drinks an unpleasant aftertaste. The Blonde Coffee was bitter and flat, nothing like the smooth flavor it’s supposed to have. Even the Iced White Chocolate Mocha, which is usually reliable, felt watered down and not balanced at all. Overall, none of the drinks were enjoyable, and for the price, I expected much better quality. Definitely not a good experience this time.
I’m really disappointed, staff are really polite and nice but this is not cool, it would be professional to notify me that my pastry was burnt so I decide to wait for another one or cancel the order. There’s absolutely no reason to put something like this in the bag and hand it to me.
Customer service was extremely awful. Olivia was super unfriendly to not only my friend and I, but every other customer we watched come up. Her tone and facial expressions need to be reevaluated.
After asking if they had cold brew, I proceeded to have to wait 25 minutes for them to fix the cold brew machine (because I'd already paid). After the third set of "service technicians", they finally fixed the machine, the drink was set on the counter without even an apology for the 25 minutes of wasted time. I don't blame the cashier, as she was caught with a faulty machine. I do blame the chain for pathetic and inexcusable customer service.
The best service I have ever had at a Starbucks in the last 20 years. Rachel (the barista) pointed out the specials (20% off cold brew with cartwheel) asked about my dietary restrictions when I told her I couldn't do dairy and offered me choices and combinations to make my drink perfect. And my drink was amazing. Never before has anyone done this and I get my coffee at various Starbucks 2-3 times a week.
