Starbucks @ Smith's

The app forces you to pay with a Starbucks gift card to place a pickup order. No credit card. No Apple Pay. Just their closed, monopolized gift card system. That means loading money first just to buy a coffee. Unacceptable. This isn’t convenience it’s coercion. Locking customers into prepaid balances so Starbucks can sit on your money is predatory and lazy. Every other location manages normal payments just fine. If you can’t support basic modern transactions, don’t offer mobile ordering. Until then, I’ll spend my money somewhere that doesn’t treat customers like walking wallets.

Instead of getting a small mocha I got what tasted like a hot chocolate. Of course.I should have known when the cappuccino machine wasn't making any sound when they were supposedly making my mocha. We were there about 1630. Not even near closing.

I cannot recommend this Starbucks, especially if you are Black. The service was very rude, unhelpful, and my questions and order were ignored. She is racist like girl it’s 2026 no need. didn’t get her name but went there between 12:03-12:10pm. 1/14/2026

The employee was smiley, quick, and happy to help us. The location is convent and clean. I can’t speak for the drinks, but I can speak for the decent Gouda and ham sandwich that I got. I was satisfied, especially because I used a gift card to lower the price of the sandwich. But it was good to eat a warm breakfast while I shopped.

Best cup of joe this side of 4th south the staff was the best and and very helpful for a Starbucks noon like myself. Very tasty recipes and and the drink they made was delicious. I’m a vanilla bean Frappuccino kinda guy. Goes great with caramel and there is seating here
