Steak 'n Shake

I feel like they're making all the right changes. Last night my wife and I ate there for the first time in years and it was amazing. I got the triple with the super fries my wife got a burger basket and everything tasted great. Fries were great, tho needed salt but I prefer it needing salt and we can add some vs overly salty. Burgers were awesome. We left for under 30 bucks out the door. Feels unheard of today for the quality of food we got.

They are well on their way to complete automation. Quite sad really. They used to have great employees that actually cared for their customers. I counted a total of 3 employees during dinner service. 2 cooks and 1 front of the house employee that looked completely overwhelmed. Especially when trying to explain to every customer over 40 that they need to place their order at one of the automated kiosks, and he cannot take cash from them.

We had an excellent experience at the Steak ’n Shake pickup window thanks to Dontis. He provided outstanding customer service from start to finish friendly, attentive, and efficient. He confirmed our order with care, made sure everything was prepared correctly, and maintained a positive attitude throughout the interaction. Employees like Dontis make a noticeable difference in the customer experience. His professionalism and welcoming manner reflect highly on the location, and we truly appreciated his service today.

My first time at a #SteakNShake was in Kansas City over 20 years ago and I’ve been wanting to return since. While the interiors have changed with self serve kiosks instead of printed menus the food is just as good. Steak ‘n Shake was founded in 1934 in Normal, Illinois. They were one of the pioneers of premium burgers and milk shakes. For over 85 years, the company’s name has been symbolic of its heritage. The word “steak” stood for STEAKBURGER. The term “shake” stood for hand-dipped MILK SHAKES. So in that tradition My husband and I ordered the Garlic Double steakburger with extra Garlic sauce. The best Burgers and Fries in the quadcities! Anthony brought our food out to us. He has the best positive attitude! Anthony and the manager John were right on task, serving customers, keeping this restaurant super clean. We are looking forward to our next visit
