Steak 'n Shake

We arrived fairly late in the evening and were pleasantly surprised to find Steak 'n Shake still open. We were seated immediately Our waitress was pleasant and brought out our drinks immediately after taking our order. The burger, grilled cheese & french fries were excellent. The onion rings were okay. The shake we received was vanilla instead of chocolate as ordered, but it was still decent. Food was good enough to visit again.

The first thing that stood out was this Steak ‘n Shake still has servers taking your order and you don’t have to order at their kiosk. Hooray! I ordered a double steakburger with cheese and an Oreo milkshake. The steakburger came out hot but a little greasy. The milkshake was incredible and extremely filling. Excellent service!

10:30am and the place was busy!! Didn’t stop the gang at this location from serving up great food with great service. It was nice the family was able to get breakfast or a tasty burger!

We had the absolute best experience here, our waitress was incredible, quick, and SO friendly!!! We were traveling from Arkansas back to Northern Illinois and decided to stop here on the way home. Everything was fresh, delicious, and clean. Happy to be at a Steak 'n Shake that still has servers.

Food never disappoints. Shakes are delicious. Service was great as well as the timing of getting our meals. Updated Sept 2025. Orange dreamsicle shake was awesome. Tallow fries are great and crispy
