Great food, the shrimp po-boy and black bean burger were amazing, the margarita pizza was not bad but not great, it lacked fresh mozzarella and the crust was very dense, but still pretty good. The service was good, it was a pretty slow time of day so we didn’t have to wait, the waiter was attentive. The vibe was a little bit strange, it seemed like we were the only people not wearing business or country club attire despite not being a fancy restaurant, be it a pretty pricey restaurant (expect to spend at least 20 dollars per person) and the music was unpleasant in my opinion, reminded me of the TPUSA halftime show or a country bar. Overall we felt a bit out of place and uneasy there but the food was great

Not from Iowa City but stopped in our way home. So freaking good! Pro tip #1: Get there early if there’s an Iowa game on. Pro tip #2: Go on Tuesday for half-price Cajun entrees. (Crawfish Etouffee is pictured)

Stella is a convenient spot to grab a bite near the University of Iowa Hospital, with a darker, fairly quiet atmosphere for a bar-style restaurant. My lady and I stopped in while visiting my dad, and we were seated and greeted quickly. However, it took quite a while—about 10 minutes—for our server to come back and take our orders. To be fair, they did seem a bit understaffed for the number of guests. We ordered the Woodbury and Dickinson chicken sandwiches. Both were pretty average, with the Dickinson being the better of the two. Surprisingly, the French fries ended up being the highlight of the meal—not something I normally feel the need to mention, but they stood out more than the entrées. One thing to note: bring your own condiments. They charge $1 for a small ranch cup, which was a b

Wow is all I can say. Service was amazing had the sweetest server ever! I ordered the Dundee burger and it was delicious till it wasn’t. I did not finish the burger so I got a Togo box so I could eat my burger later. When I took my first bite I noticed something was wrong. I was chewing, and chewing and chewing. Something felt dry, and not like my other bites, something was very wrong. So I spat out my bite and there it was. A hair like clump of who knows what. I was absolutely REPULSED I started to gag, I have not been able to eat all day the texture is ingrained in my mind. I was so excited to try Stella’s because my mom has been hyping it up for years but YIKES this was definitely an experience!

The first place in a LOOOONG time that there were multiple items we wanted to try! I had the jambalaya and it was better than what I had on Bourbon St So I’m adding to my review from 2 years ago and dropping the rating. I so much wanted to go back here and had serious disappointment. The Cajun cheese balls were still awesome and this time we had burgers and I will say they were pathetic. Zero flavor from the burger to the toppings- it was just unreal! We all said the same thing- how? The service was extremely slow and not very welcoming from the time we walked in to the time we left, we were all just flabbergasted by the experience since the last time it was so good. Was it a bad night or has this place gone down hill this bad? will say bring your wallet $22 a plate but you definitely hav
