The food was excellent and the service was pretty great overall. It was a little more than I thought it would be considering we had to eat outside. I also ordered my burger as a lettuce wrap but still got a bun. Not a big deal but it also wasn't what I asked for. I would go again.
I really wanted to like this place. It had a cute, nostalgic kind of look, and the servers were friendly and polite. But I don’t think I would come back or recommend the place. The onion rings were slightly burnt, too oily, and the oil tasted old. The sauce and the onion rings just tasted bland and cheap. The hamburger wasn’t bad, but it just tasted like preformed Walmart patties on white bread with a single slice of cheese. The load of lettuce, tomato, and onions was the best part. The hamburger wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t something I would pay someone to make. I hope they’re able to turn things around. The location has a lot of potential.
This is a hole in the wall drive thru place. But I think, and my family agrees, that this may be the best burger of its kind that we have had in Yakima! We got Double Texas Rangers, (2*1/4lb burgers), and they were juicy and loaded with fresh toppings in a light sesame seed bun, for about $10 each. Among 3 varieties of fries we tried (not cheap but generously portioned), I recommend the homestyle fries, which are thicker cut and lightly battered. Plus, the staff were friendly, laid back, and helpful. It wasn't the right weather for shakes, but the menu looks tempting, so we will definitely put them on the list for a hot summer day. What a cool little place!
Stopped by for lunch as we were passing through town and thought we would try this old fashioned drive-in. We were very pleasantly surprised. Owners were extremely friendly and helpful - a true family business. Clean and welcoming with nice tables outside under trees. Food was great and price in-line with similar old fashioned restaurants. Recommend and will revisit.
The burger was very fresh tasting. It was not very noteworthy, especially for the price. Most all items are ala carte. The fench fries were definitely bad. They were bland and overcooked. Overall, not the worst burger stand but definitely not the best. Burger Ranch still wins.
