Strawberry Hut Sandwich Shop

So happy The Strawberry Hut came up in our search for a great local place when in Plant City. We ordered a Cuban Sandwich “all the way and pressed” it was delicious. We realized why they won best Cuban sandwich for last 16 years. The milkshakes were phenomenal!!! My husband had strawberry. I had strawberry banana. Both were so yummy, creamy with bits of fruit. It’s a walk up order with outside seating. We enjoyed talking with “the locals” who were so helpful with the area information. Hope we can come back someday.

Ordered a Philly and a turkey Cuban and both were amazing I can’t tell you which I prefer really one of the best sandwiches in Tampa and I also ordered a shortcake which was very delicious moist and fresh.

I went to this place to get a vegetarian Cuban even though I was on a strict diet, but I really wanted this Cuban. So I originally ordered a 4 inch cuban( which I wish I would have gotten)however the cashier upsold me. She was very nice and I really wanted one of these Cubans so I upsized to 8 inch. The decision to upsize was a horrible decision. This is what I was served and it is unacceptable. This was their version of a veggie sub. No cheese, no tomatoes, 2 olives, 2 onions (I requested extra onions) 😏. I can’t believe this was $8. Not to mention I drove far to this establishment. When I made it back home to eat, this is what I was served. Strawberry hut I’m so disappointed in you. OK, I see why this place was voted 17 years in a row Best Cuban it is really very thick full of meat. Everything is proportionately distributed perfectly and it tastes phenomenal. Please don’t come to Plant City without trying this place. I know it looks like a little hole in the wall, but they got some of the best food.

The Philly Steak Cuban and Traditional Cuban are AMAZING! Gotta have it pressed with butter. Then finish it off with a strawberry milkshake!
