StreetZlan Restaurant

Okay I want to first start off by saying this place is its own separate restaurant. I call that out because it is next to a fusion Mexican restaurant that is its own thing. They are not connected to each other and have completely different menus. With that out of the way I want to try and shout from the hills about elk Grove about how amazing this place is. My friend and I wanted to try a new place for lunch and I popped up my Yelp app and this was one of the top 10 things that showed up on my app. I told her the name of the restaurant and she said that she's been wanting to check this out for a while. Streetzlan catered my baby shower and it was amazing! Their food is out of this world good. Everyone was very impressed and loved it. We had homemade tortillas, carnitas, grilled chicken and beef. Every bite of food was packed with flavor. I cannot recommend them enough for dining in and/or catering. Family run business that really cares about great food and great customer service. If you're dining with them, you are in for a true treat.

I love that Elk Grove has such a unique restaurant like Streetzlan, and I'm so glad I found it! It's located in a strip mall, but from the street it sits on a corner and you can see the signs advertising tacos and beers. The waitress/hostess greeted us warmly and and provided some ice water in a bottle that we could pour ourselves, which was nice. When it came time to order our drinks, she suggested one of their watermelon/strawberry Agua Frescas. What a refreshing delicious drink this was. It was not too sweet and it indeed was very fresh. My wife and I badly want to make this a regular place, it’s close by and we love small business restaurants, but we’ve given it so many chances and it just keeps disappointing. It is constantly closed 1-2 hours before what their website says. Today we were excited to try their brunch. Their website says they close at 5pm. But with their track record, I also checked Facebook and their brunch menu release announcement says brunch served till 3pm. Got there at 2pm, not just no brunch but completely CLOSED. And they are consistently out of certain meats. The hostess is always great though, and so is the food when we actual get into the restaurant, even if we can’t get exactly what we want. I had the pick any 3 tacos (C St Fish, Carne Asada & Al Pastor) ALL THREE tacos were bomb. But bayyyyyybeeeeeehhhh… The fish taco was incredible. I will be back. They were busy when I came in and I appreciated the excellent service from the server and cooks. Did not have to wait long and I will DEFINITELY be back!
