Stroudsburg Borough Swimming Pool

The young people that work here charge different prices for residents and are not properly trained and the life guards are never paying attention, they need to be more attentive and stick with the right price to get in the pool. The kiddie pool is always filthy with leaves and stuff in the pool and they expect people to put their kids in that! More training and better attitudes are needed. Residents should not pay as much to swim! The website needs to be updated and have correct info about the depth of the pool. It is 12 feet by the diving boards, 8ft by the big slides. Two weeks ago, a person drowned here, and the lifeguards have been almost non-responsive. Children bounce on the diving board 5-10 times before diving, which has become a common practice. This is extremely dangerous, and during the three times I've been here this summer, the lifeguards have done nothing. I haven't heard a whistle once for any reason. I asked one of the lifeguards why none of the lifeguards say anything about jumping on the diving board and he said it’s allowed here. Nowhere online have I found jumping up and down as many times as you want on a diving board before your jump to be okay. I'm not a negative person, but this is deeply concerning.

Best public pool in the area. Pool manager is very personable and helpful. Lifeguards seem to be observant and attentive, never saw anyone needing lifeguard assistance, so I can't give an full review.

Great pool in town, I think they should have security and strick monitoring of children under supervised that go look for trouble. Absolutely love this pool but the teens in town need tough hands no good behavior no entrance.
