Loved our time at Student Prince looking at the German decor throughout the restaurant and sitting at the bar. The drinks were poured perfectly from the bartender with the Olympics playing on the tv. My burger was perfectly seasoned and I could taste every flavor from the mushrooms to the oozy egg on top. The pretzel bun is a nice bonus on top of everything else and just puts this restaurant above all else. The delicious chicken sliders are sold individually so you can have as many as you'd like! The fresh red potato skins in the mashed potatoes made us feel at home with sense of the home cooked meal. Absolutely delish!
This is like stepping back in time. The decor is amazing, it's like the building is half museum and half restaurant. The food lives up to this standard too, the giant pretzel and schnitzel are just outstanding. Don't worry too much about the weather either, I was there when the temperature was well below freezing and the interior was perfectly comfortable. If you're looking for a great meal this should be near the top of your list.
Holy moly! This is some of the best food I’ve ever had. Go for lunch and get their 3 course meal deal. I got the goulash soup (so flavorful), veal schnitzel with mushroom gravy, kraut, and fried potatos (the gravy was deliciously buttery and the kraut was lightly sweet), and the sticky toffee pudding (to die for). Service was excellent too.
Me and my husband went last night to celebrate Valentine's Day. The big pretzel was very good we had as an appetizer. I got the lamb shank, which was very tasty and had plenty of meat on the bone. My husband had the prime rib, which was tasty but for a 14 ounce cut I think $42 was overpriced. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the food and attentive to our needs. It was a Friday night so once the tables got filled up, it got a bit noisy in the main dining room. I would've liked to have seen the fireplace lit. It would've added to the atmosphere. The warm apple strudel with ice cream for dessert was very tasty. The valet service was very convenient. We definitely plan on returning.
First time here since I was a little kid. It was a great experience. Our waiter Jeffrey explained everything we asked about, was friendly and funny. A perfect guide for our first German eating experience. We had and shared the shank bone meal and the German sampler, both were very tasty along with a couple of local brews. The chocolate mousse dessert was to die for!
