Cute little bakery I stopped into while visiting. It is a “blink and you miss it” kind of place, in fact I walked by it whilst looking for it! I decided on an m&m cookie and a double chocolate cookie. They are huge! Like 6” cookies! They are crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, they have good sweet flavor. I tend to like my cookies a bit saltier, but they taste good. They have lots of different goodies, bar cookies, cupcakes, cake, mini pound cake, but I landed on these since they looked the most portable.

I had been to Sugar over 10 years ago and was excited to go back during my recent trip and it absolutely lived up to my memory. The treats were great across the board. They have a fantastic chocolate chip cookie, and the cranberry walnut cupcake was outstanding, I especially loved the filling. The coconut cupcake was also delicious. I can’t wait to go back again!

WOW… love this small cute bakery on a side street of downtown Charleston!!! I did a Google search and found Sugar Bakery had very good reviews.. I had a custom mini wedding cake made for my son’s weddings in Kiawah Island. I ordered a confetti cake with strawberry jam filling with white frosting & I decorated the rest with a figurine & flowers. The cake was absolutely delicious! We also bought a dozen cupcakes , trying seasonal flavors, classics , and a few gluten free. They did not disappoint , the lavender was probably a favorite! Next time I visit Charleston I will be sure to go back !

Listen, I am a SUCKER for a good cupcake, and boy, was this place it! They had a ton of flavor options, gluten-free options, dog treats, brownies, and more! They were so moist, and we loved it so much we went twice while we were here! My dog absolutely loved their dog treats, and they are all natural as well. The staff was so friendly, and I want to say she was the owner, was an absolute sweetheart! Will be coming back every trip to Charleston that we make!
