SugarBear Gourmet Ice Cream

We hit up this spot on a Sunday night and wow, the ice cream was seriously good! I dove into the Whiskey Girl, Ooh Lala, Strawberries and Cream, and Birthday Cake flavors. They were all super flavorful, but the Whiskey Girl truly stole the show – it was amazing! You order right outside, and there's a cool seating area with picnic tables and a fire pit, plus a fun play area for the kiddos. Definitely a sweet stop!

Emily and her team make every visit to Sugar Bear a treat! For my birthday, my husband asked her to make a tray of custom ice cream sandwiches to surprise me and they were fantastic!! Many thanks to Emily and the Sugar Bear team for making my birthday extra special!!

It's a lovely location, and the owner is very kind to everyone, but the ice cream is simply not worth it. The unique flavors offered aren't particularly interesting, and the portions are so small that I initially thought i'd been served a pup cup. Don't even get me started on the prices! Can't recommend this place when businesses like Chandler's & Chap's exist nearby.

Amazing selection! I love a unique flavor and they had lots I sampled the honey sea salt latte and the apricot amoretti. The apricot gave major spring vibes but the honey sea salt latte was the winner that’s what I got on my cone, it was amazing! My partner had the mocha latte and he was very impressed with the chocolate nibs. The outdoor space is very cute and would definitely be a good group hang out spot with lots of seating and games. The only thing that might get a little tricky is parking if it is full.

I would be very sad if anyone has not tried their organs blossom with honey and pistachio prickles . Such a creative flavor perfectly done. Banana pudding was also super super solid. Got a cute little garden to enjoy your ice cream!!! So far best ice cream spot in Charlottesville!!
