Sullivan County Health Care

My very good friend of 50+ years was a resident there. She has since passed away. No one will tell me who is handling her funeral arrangements or even who her next of kin is. I understand about privacy and HIPAA, but how can I find out anything so I can pay my last respects to my friend? In addition, there was a picture with my name and number on the back for me to be called if/when she passed away that has disappeared. I don’t understand how that would have been an invasion of privacy for me to get a call to come retrieve it.

Sullivan County is fortunate to have one of the best "nursing homes" in the State. Residents are treated with compassion and respect which makes things a lot easier for the families that need this assistance in order to continue working and caring for their younger family members. A rare case of government doing something very well!
